VMware Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • As part of a team of specialists, you will be working within the VMware and Windows service line / infrastructure
  • Provide capability to install, configure, and manage a highly available and scalable VMware/virtualization infrastructure
  • Provision virtual machines and patches to the software and hardware hosting infrastructure
  • Maintain and restore VM "backups" and snapshots
  • Support the analysis and resolution of complex incidents and independently drive improvement measures
  • Responsible for the continuous further development of the operational and security measures used
  • Plan, install, configure, and commission complex IT systems (Hardware/Software)
  • You will be part of an on-call duty

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role with focus on VMware solutions
  • In the area of virtualization software, you can apply your sound knowledge (e.g. in the programs vSphere and vCenter)
  • Familiar with vSAN and Dell EMC VxRail technology
  • Knowledge in VEEAM
  • Familiar with IT security principles
  • Experience working in an Enterprise environment and supporting large and complex environments; ideally experience with ITIL framework
  • You have great communications skills and a fluent level of English
